*FYI * The annual Merritt Island holiday parade is on Saturday from 9:30am until noon (today). Parade starts at Merritt Island High and continues down to Edgewood Jr/Sr High on Merritt Ave.
*Jacki's note: * If you are coming up from Melbourne, Rockledge, Viera area, v ia route 1, you can either travel up to 528 then come south on 3 to the shop OR you can go east on 520, north on North Tropical Trail to Crockett Blvd then go east to 3 and south to the shop.
BCSO information for Road Closure details: Brevard County Sheriff's Office will close Courtenay Parkway (SR-3) from Grove Boulevard (the street next to the shop, CVS is on the corner) south to Merritt Avenue and then east on Merritt Avenue to Plumosa Avenue at 9:30 a.m. until approximately 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 for the Merritt Island Holiday Parade. The traffic will be re-routed to Tropical Trail, SR-520 and SR-528. Motorists wishing to drive through the area are cautioned to allow extra time.
Our landlord sent out a late notice that the parking lot here is going to be paved Saturday and Sunday. We have notified them that we are open both days (on Saturday the shop is open 9-6 and on Sunday we have a crop 9a-9p) and have not received any information that we can use to determine the impact on our weekend plans here.
